I would personally just truly recommend any other exchange than coinbase… “reputable” is a strong word … and there are other options. It may work well for many or has in the past but IMO I would really recommend other exchanges :-)
I’m not an expert, it is difficult for me to ask high quality questions about crypto world. In general I’d love to read things which is not easy to find anywhere else.

I don't recommend anyone rely on any exchange. Centralized is centralized. There is no such thing as safe CEX.
